One of the reasons I love Santo Domingo is because it reminds me of Havana of 1958 just before the revolution. They upgraded me to a great suite (pictures) at the JW Marriott located in the Blue Mall in one of the best neighborhoods in Santo Domingo with great restaurants and shops.

If you look at documentaries of Havana of the 1950’s people would be surprised. Sadly Havana now is a sad dilapidated city with people standing on line for the rationing of 3 eggs a month. When friends tell me they went to Havana recently and loved it. I say to them you have no idea what Havana was like. Did you know that Cuba in 1958 was ranked the 8th highest salaried country in the world. My father’s employees earned the same amount of money as in America. Thst is why all my father’s employees came to America right after my family and I left in 1961. If you are one of those delusional people that thinks there is something good about Communism, by all means, Go and see for yourself what 64 years of communism has done to that once great city!

One of the great pleasures in life is luxury travel. I love beautiful hotels around the world having travelled to over 200 countries. Here I am at the Westin Punta Cana. The Westin chain can be great overseas as the Westin paris and the Westins in china I can attest to. Here they have two corner suites on the ocean and I always get one of them. It is great when everyone greets you at a hotel by your name! I started my travel adventures as a baby. My mother always told me while all the children were crying aboard I liked the noise inside the plane! Lol. After spending summers in Europe while in college I got a part time travel job after school at Peter Ueberoth’s office in NYC and that is where started truly first class travel and at 20 took my first trip around the world. One of the airlines was Malaysia Singapore in first class. They split up two years later and Singapore continues to be the premier airline in first class. In The first class lounge in Singapore and aboard the plane I always preorder lobster thermidor probably the best dish served aboard a plane anywhere. I come to Punta Cana every year to visit my dentist which I dread. I might as well enjoy it while My dentists keep my teeth with a nice smile. Here’s to the good life!!!

With great shopping streets and restaurants. I went with my friend Daphne, who came to my big birthday party at the Ritz in Paris, to one of my favorite restaurants Les Moustaches. I enclose a picture of the best oyster Rockefeller I have ever tasted.
Daphne used to be the girlfriend of Julio Iglesias for 5 years when Daphne was in between marriages! Lol
